My Philosophy
I see myself as a problem-solver. Whether working to conclude an existing dispute in the most advantageous way possible or planning for disputes which may arise, my job is to anticipate and find the best solutions for the legal issues facing my clients.
My Background
I have counseled clients on disputes and regulatory matters since 1989. I was a litigation associate and then partner with Coffield Ungaretti Harris & Slavin and then Ungaretti & Harris from 1989 until the law firm merged with Nixon Peabody in 2015. Beginning in the early 2000s and continuing until the merger, I also served as Ungaretti & Harris’ in-house General Counsel representing and advising the law firm and its lawyers. I left Nixon Peabody in 2016 and began representing and counseling clients as a sole practitioner. In addition to advising law firms and lawyers, I have represented clients in a variety of commercial disputes and other litigation matters, internal investigations, governmental investigations and other regulatory matters. I take my role as problem-solver and counselor seriously. I work with my clients to identify their needs and goals and the risks and benefits associated with the available courses of action to solve their problems. I then pursue an agreed upon solution in the most efficient manner possible.
I look forward to the opportunity to discuss whether I can provide you with the legal representation and counsel you require to address your legal issues.
